About us

Excel Physical Therapy is a private, physical therapist/locally-owned practice with offices in St. Charles County, St. Louis County, and Warren County. We have nine locations to offer convenient access for patients living or working in either county. Our well-rounded staff of thirty physical therapists provides top quality care for patients with orthopedic rehabilitation needs. Five of our physical therapists are also certified hand therapists. We pride ourselves in our ability to serve any orthopedic diagnosis. Our experienced therapists frequently collaborate with one another providing fresh ideas for the patients we treat.

Four of the five owners of Excel, Julia Kellogg, PT, CHT; David Meers, PT, CSCS; Steve Thro, PT, EMT; and Chuck McDonnell, PT, CHT, EMT, treat patients on a daily basis. Tom Williams, MSE, CSCS, is our fifth partner and manages the business side of our practice while also overseeing the Corporate Wellness, and Sports Medicine and Athletic Enhancement.

Excel Sports & Physical Therapy's business is about assisting the patients entrusted to us by top notch physicians to achieve the best possible outcome in a timely and efficient manner. Each patient is evaluated by the treating physical therapist and provided with a progressive home exercise program to complement the care received in the clinic.

We believe prompt and accurate communication with you, the referring physician, is of utmost importance. Because our patients are first entrusted to us by their referring physician, we take great steps to keep you informed of your patients care and progress, and ultimately, the end of treatment result. We welcome your input before, during, and after treatment to ensure that we are providing your patient exactly what is necessary to achieve the best possible outcome.
