This is a fantastic facility to go to. Everyone there is very friendly and make you feel very comfortable. From the front desk to the team working on you are great. They work very hard of removing the aches and pains to get you back to normal and functioning again. They push you to get better, but they dont over do it. I had knee replacement right before Thanksgiving in 2024.Luckily I had worked with this group and Tina before surgery so I knew what to expect from physical therapy.  Tina is wonderful, compassionate,funny and she listens.  She has high expectations of me, and that just pushes me harder! I can’t say enough good things about Excel Sports & Physical Therapy in St. Charles. After my cervical fusion, I knew recovery was going to take time and hard work, but having Christy and Shannon helping me through the process has made such a difference.

They have both been incredibly patient, caring, and encouraging throughout my therapy. They take the time to listen, explain what we’re doing and why, and make sure I’m comfortable while still pushing me to improve. I’ve never felt like just another patient.

The entire staff has been friendly, professional, and genuinely concerned about my recovery. I’m very thankful for the care and support I’ve received at Excel. I cannot recommend Christy Lucke at Excel Physical Therapy and the entire team at the St. Charles location enough!
From the moment you walk through the door, the office environment is welcoming, clean, and genuinely encouraging. Alma knows each and every one of the patients and is always so kind and efficient at keeping scheduling smooth and stress-free.
When I first started coming here, I was dealing with Achilles Tendinopathy, and I was feeling pretty discouraged.Christy and Shannon completely changed that. I never thought I would enjoy going to “Therapy “ but I do. The therapists, Anna and Tina are so fun and personable. They always ask how I have been feeling so they know where my problems are, and help me target that area. I always leave feeling much better than before I got there. They are very educated and really know what they are doing. I have worked with Anna more, and she always make sure that I know what to work on at home also. I have a bad rotator cuff that can’t be repaired. I would need a shoulder replacement if I couldn’t build the muscles up surrounding it. Jessica helped me do that. Paul and Stacey are amazing!

In early 2025 I slept wrong, apparently several nights, and my shoulder had limited mobility.  Paul helped quickly assess what was going on and how to help; he shared the overall approach to increase mobility and then to strengthen my arm.  I needed to dedicate time at home to it, and the exercises worked!

Then in early 2026, I hyperextended my knee playing soccer; I walked off the field and to the car... slowly, but I got my self there.  And I went to be comforted by the plan to visit Paul the next morning for an assessment.  

We quickly, and correctly, confirmed nothing was torn, and that after reducing the swelling in the upcoming couple weeks, we could start therapy.  Paul helped me plans and perform a similar approach of loosening, stretching and then strengthening.  And I'm now back playing.

Paul is very capable and competent, and an all-around awesome guy.  The same is true for Stacey and others at Excel.

I suffered an ACL and meniscus tear in July and had surgery in August. From that point forward I've been going to excel three days a week. Being extremely nervous about my injury, Alena has been beyond helpful through the entire process. She has pushed me further than I thought I could possibly imagine days after surgery and even to today. She has made sure I've met each and every goal set. She truly cares about her patients and it is very obvious.  Liz is another person that has pushed me to new limits (she makes me plank, and I hate planking).  But, it's all for a reason and you have to trust the process.  They both go above and beyond, and it's truly amazing. We recently got hit with a major snow storm and they spent the two days before trying to figure out how to see everyone and keep them on schedule before the storm hit. Between patients, they were making phone calls and getting appointments moved around with their patients safety in mind. I especially appreciated this because the last thing I wanted to do was go out in inclement weather and possibly re-injure myself just to go to therapy. I couldn't ask for a better group of people!  Another person I have to mention is Nancy!  She is the first person I see when I walk in the door and always has a smile!  She is always busy, but always says good morning and goodbye. The little things are very noticeable by all who come in for treatment. Between Liz and Alena you will reach your goals if you put the effort in. The staff was professional, caring and exceptional from the first phone call to the final appointment. Mark was my Therapist and I cannot stress enough how great he was. 15 straight days was requested by the doc for me. Not the norm, but it was the right call. Mark pushed me, but also understood my limitations. I followed his recommendations to the letter and the recovery was nothing short of a miracle.
 I will insist everyone I know use this location for any PT needs. Steve and Cindy are as awesome as Mark. Great people with a passion for what they do. Cannot say enough great things about them.

I have been told by doctor after doctor for over a decade that I need to be in PT. I have never done it because of how uncomfortable it has always been. Aqua therapy at Excel has completely changed my view of PT. I actually look forward to the days I get to go. My PT Jennifer is awesome. She always tries to make you feel better then you came in. She is meticulous, yet fast. Her notes rival my Orthopedic surgeons. You can tell she's a professional.
